Topic: CineForm codec support

Trying cineform file but get message "cfhd is not supported as video inside a mov container atm" or any other container. As far as I know ffmpeg supports cineform.
What could be the issue?

Re: CineForm codec support

When I added that message, ffmpeg supported cineform, but not cineform hd. Not sure whether cfhd support was added in the meantime,...

[cfhd @ 000002336f80cb80] Invalid dimensions

is what I get when trying to decode cfhdm,,, (for both .avi and .mov containing cfhd content)

There's a 5 year old and ticket in the ffmpeg bug tracker, regarding cfhd, see: https://trac.ffmpeg.org/ticket/1087
-> doesn't seem like cfhd is fully supported by ffmpeg atm.

Re: CineForm codec support

Using:

ffmpeg -i "f:\TestClips&Co\CFHD\bigger_res.mov" -c copy h:\test.mov

it seems like it's working okay,...
Problem is I'm not sure whether the output is okay since ffmpeg can't decode the content, which is why I wrote that check to make sure Hybrid doesn't remux anything but ProRes, DV or  MPEG-4 based video into an .mov container.
